Outcome

After developing my proposal and budget, I wrote about my hopes for the outcome of this project. In my outcome, I listed several different objectives, such as helping students learn basic concepts of dance, as well as helping myself re-discover my passion for teaching.

Through my EDGE project, I think I will rediscover why I want to be a teacher. While working with the students involved in the Wee Be Groovin’ program, I am hoping to find that passion for teaching again and my love of sharing my passion (dancing). As I interact with my students, I’m hoping to learn a great deal from them. Children can teach you a lot about patience and understanding, as well as communication. I’m hoping to take away those skills from working with my students. Through this project, I will learn more about the teaching field by having more teaching experience through this. My major right now is Dance Education and I feel this project is perfect for me. This experience will give me the tools I need to work with students kinesthetically while working with dance terminology. The project will give me the tools I need to communicate with my students and also relay dance information to them. This project will also help me perfect my skills as a dancer so that I can give my students the best education possible. I know that working with the Wee Be Groovin’ program will be a great experience!
